Stuart Edwards

Director

Stuart has been involved with the Internet professionally since 1997. He has been creatively involved in designing over 100 separate web sites which have all benefited from his vision and graphic design skills. Stuart's experience covers all aspects of design, including Flash development.

Stuart's main interest in the Internet, besides the impact of design on the audience of a site, originates from the equality of the medium. Stuart believes that the “DIY” mentality and the increasing ease of personal publishing are both major drawcards for the medium as a whole, and represent the direction that the Internet is heading. He especially likes the way the Internet can empower the individual to have his voice heard.

In the near future Stuart is looking to expand his skill set into 3D graphics/modelling and the animation side of design.

Tim Toohey

Technical Director

Tim's passion for the more technical aspects of web development began with his learning to program at the age of 10. Since those early days, Tim's interests have expanded to cover a wide range of hot topics such as open standards and the privacy of Internet users, but particularly the role that the Internet has had in facilitating collaboration between open-source developers from around the world.

Tim's primary role encompasses some of the most important facets of web development — server administration and lead programmer. As such he is faced with frequent challenging problems — problems that Tim relishes solving creatively and to great effect.

The next challenge facing Tim is how to better assist web users by providing them with a more intuitive interface for their day-to-day tasks.

Paul Mcilwaine

Junior Developer

Paul is the newest member of Toowards. He has strong PHP coding skills, a desire to adhere to W3C standards and implement designs using CSS. We look forward to watching Paul grow as a developer.
